Police Dash Cam from 1993 Shows Skilled Truck Driver Help End a High Speed Car Chase

During a high speed pursuit of a stolen car with 2 armed suspects inside, the pursuing officers radio ahead for assistance. Their message is received by a truck driver located just up the highway, who agrees to help, and proves to be successful in keeping the fleeing suspects from passing him. At this point, the suspects, realizing that they'll never get past the truck - or quite possibly die trying - finally pull over and surrender. Most police officers would not encourage ordinary citizens to get involved with police business, but fortunately, this citizen turned out to be anything *but* ordinary. Because unbeknownst to the officers at the time, the truck driver was actually a former Alabama Sheriff's Deputy.
